"Under the guise of letters of advice to a young
illustrator, R. O. Blechman has written a profound and witty discourse
on the nature of all creativity, not just the artistic kind. It reads
like a nimble treatise on life itself."

Talking Lines is the first comprehensive collection of R.O. Blechman's graphic stories, offering readers a chance to survey the full range of his contemplations on culture, politics and people. A writer who draws and an artist who writes, Blechman has in Talking Lines produced a collection of tales that inform, alarm and amuse.
R.O Blechman's distinctive comic voice and visual style have graced the pages of the New York Times, the New Yorker and numerous other publications, as well commercials for print and TV. One of the great cartoonists, author of one of the first graphic novels and a Hall of Fame Art Director, Blechman is also an animator whose films have earned him an Emmy, a Cannes Film festival award and a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art. |
