Guido's Ear Jolle Greenleaf, soprano Dongmyung Ahn and Aaron Brown, violins Hank Heijink, theorbo and baroque guitar
Guido's Ear - founded by violinists Aaron Brown and Dongmyung Ahn - is an early music ensemble specializing in the repertoire of the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods. The group's name refers to Guido D'Arezzo, the 11th century music theorist who invented, among other things, the modern form of music notation. D'Arezzo is probably most well known for the "Guidonian Hand," his method of teaching sight-singing. The name of this group is a play on the term.
